Ali is the longest standing JBJ engineer and has accrued an impressive credits list along the way. After Studying Music Production at Leeds College of Music, and Audio Engineering at SAE Institute, Ali joined the JBJ team and quickly became a core member. He was a big part of the studio build, personally wiring the SSL, Patchbay and Monitoring systems and believes there is little he doesn’t know about the inner workings of the studio.
His diverse range of credits represent his eclectic taste in music. Not only can Ali boast a list of engineering credits for some of the biggest current names in music (Sabrina Carpenter, The 1975, Olivier Rodgrigo), but he’s also been lucky enough to work extensively under rock and roll hall of famers such as Iggy Pop, Ronnie Woods and Tony Visconti.
He’s constantly being selected to work on projects out of the best studios in the world and has held long term residencies at both Abbey Road Studios and Rak.
Ali’s calm, lighthearted approach and ability to cope well under immense pressure makes him a trusted favourite with major labels, He continues to love what he does and strives for the most interesting sonics possible.
