With over 20 years of producing and mixing records Jamie has amassed an impressive CV that includes some of the biggest selling artists in the world.

As self proclaimed “music obsessive” Jamie started out in bands, playing shows around London and despite multiple advances and interest from industry execs – it wasn’t until his band started making records that he realised that his passion lied more on the other side of the glass. “I was fascinated by the process of building things from scratch and experiencing the excitement that you get when a song starts to sound like a record”

As a freelancer, his career started from fairly humble beginnings with a small studio in his bedroom and even here he was creating records which were being picked up by major labels and being played on national radio.

Moving on a few years and Jamie had created a purpose built studio with life long friend and studio builder Phillip Jones. This was to be the first incarnation of JBJ recording studio. Jamie worked with numerous bands and artists here including Bloxx of which he received critical acclaim for producing and mixing their debut EP “You” which subsequently secured them a record deal with Sony BMG.

Moving into 2025 and Jamie is now the head engineer at JBJ Studio. He’s inspired by capturing great audio, and has a reputation for big, punchy mixes which connect with audiences all over the world.
