Ryan is a LIPA Sound Technology graduate, who started his journey to becoming our man on the ground with a desire to become a professional pianist. After getting a copy of Fruity Loops at 15 years old, this desire quickly changed to an obsession with music production, leading him to study music tech, then sound tech and soon after, straight into the JBJ internship programme, where he’s been climbing our ranks since.

Since joining our team in June 2022, Ryan’s excellent technical knowledge & problem solving abilities, coupled with his musical skills and easy going attitude has made him a firm favourite with clients of all levels. Beginning as our intern, Ryan spent his early months shadowing James (head engineer, JBJ), on every session & learning how to get the most out of clients & the studio, to suit the wide array of artists of all genres we work with at JBJ. This experience & driven focus on developing as an engineer, coupled with assisting some of the biggest engineers & producers in the game, has helped Ryan continue an impressive trajectory, from intern, to assistant, and now engineer, working closely with artists such as Jax Jones, John Summit, Stormzy, Callum Scott & James Arthur, just to name a few.
